He Needed Help Walking
Tut had severe club feet. In his tomb, you could find over 100 walking sticks and canes.
His Reign Had Significant Historical Value
While he ruled for just 8-9 years and didn’t get into too many skirmishes, he still played a role in history. Tut moved the capital of Egypt back to Thebes and restored many palaces and temples destroyed from previous battles.
He Married at 9 Years Old
Although he wasn’t the only “boy-king” in history, he started really young. He had a complicated family as he apparently married his half-sister, Ankhesenamun.
Tut May Have Passed Away From a Broken Leg
He had some major disfigurements. However, what took him out was probably due to a malarial infection that was made worse by his broken leg. Due to genetics, he had a weakened immune system. This was the last straw.
